“ What an absolutely wonderful gem in the heart of Oxford. Tapas freshly prepared with the beat of Volare in the background. The atmosphere is surreal. Crema de berenjena was my favourite, superb Pimientos de Padron, and of course patatas bravas. Finish with Churros con chocolate . Service was fast, polite with smiles. ”
“ Lovely small restaurant with a nice vibe on the high street . We visited with the family and were on the look to eat something different, and this place hit all the spots . We came in after 2 pm and was almost fully greeted with a smile by the waitress and managed to sit us straight away. The service was quite fast, and drinks and plates started to come very quickly. Restaurant had that Spanish relaxed feeling with nice decor felt we were on holiday. The food was delicious, tapas stile full of flavour. I can't tell which was the favourite as all were nice. Patatas bravas were crispy outside soft inside sereve alongside a garlic sauce and paprika, octupus on specials served alongside steamed potatoes was tender, chorizo tasty with nice spicy warmth, beef meatballs nice also alongside with tomatoes sauce, king prawns with garlic and white wine very tasty perfectly cooked , chickpeas with spinach was tasty full of flavour. It was more than enough for 4 of us, and the bill came up to 85 with service included, which was more than reasonable for the experience. ”
“ Tucked away off the High Street in Oxford, this little gem is worth a visit. It's a small windowless space with character. It is warmly decorated with lots of coloured art on the walls and Andalusian/Spanish music playing in the background. The menu is not extensive, but sufficiently varied to tempt the taste buds (including crowdpleasing dishes such as gambas al ajillo, albondigas, boquerones, patatas bravas,...). Served by an efficient waitress, we ordered a selection of tapas that proved to be very tasty and flavoursome. A nice touch was the tin container with chunks of warm fresh bread that were ideal for mopping up all the delicious sauces. Price for 4 with service charge included around 70 (no drinks included). Worth trying this place out if you are visiting Oxford! ”

“ Had an excellent experience at La Taberna. Was nice and quiet not long after opening on Tuesday. Ordered a handful of dishes including Patatas Bravas and the Croquetas (cheese and ham). Would highly recommend both of those. Enjoyed a glass of House red which was also very drinkable. Service was very quick and tasted fresh. I'll definitely be coming back for more! ”

The food is fantastic—every dish feels like it’s been made with love. The tapas are especially good, with so many different flavors to try. My favorites were the garlic prawns and the Spanish omelet. The paella is also a must-try, with perfectly cooked rice and lots of fresh seafood. The drinks menu is great too, with plenty of Spanish wines and a sangria that’s just right—not too sweet, but really refreshing. This place is perfect for a relaxed, delicious meal. ”
